Round 11 Sharks v Dingley in Freezing Conditions

Sunday July 1st

Conditions: FREEZING!!!! Overcast, bitterly cold, small oval

Steve Pain very excited about today’s match as the oval was that small he could just shout to the kids and do no running!!!

First quarter 

Good tap out of centre, good tackle by Fitzy.  Henry did a great kick to Fitzy who took a great mark and kicked it on to Ace then on to Max and into goals.  Good intercept by Lachlan M and on to Lochie L, Jacob took a free kick and kicked a point.  Great mark by Matty then run, kick and on for a point  -beautiful play Matt which you demonstrated all day. Will picked up the ball in the middle of a pack in the goal square and kicked it in for a goal.  Well done Will.

Lochie L great kick again to Jacob who kicked it in for a goal. Great play and then brilliant display of sportsmanship a crowd of Sharks players congratulating, encouraging to witness.  Max took a great mark and had a go for goals - went in for a point, great contribution to the score.  Well done.

Second Quarter

Will, Jacob, Matty, Max, Mitch, Clark and Sam great play.  Mitch gave a huge kick from afar for a point.  Great tackle again by Fitzy. Henry to Mitch then on for a mark by Ace to Clark and Thomas Bray in for a goal.

Third Quarter

Daniel, Tom Bray and Max kicked points in close succession.  Good tackling by all.  Lachlan, Mitch and Will great play.

Final Quarter

Goal by Clark. Huge kicks this quarter by Jacob, Lachlan M, Max, Mitch, Matty.  Even though we started to chase the game it was a fast quarter and the boys were trying hard.  Great effort by Will Roworth to finish the game with 2 goals.  Great game by Jacob and Matty, who took many marks and long kicks for goal and who were on the ball and focused all game, well done boys.

Coaches Award

Congratulations, Hunter he followed the ball and put a great effort in. This was Hunter’s best game for the season. Well done Hunter and congratulations.
