Conditions: Cold & Overcast, threatening showers!
(No Clubrooms for warm up....brrrr)
Captains for this week were:
Clark Aylward and Nate Dear

Clark & Nate - Captains
First quarter
Max Heath started in the ruck.  The ball was moved towards goals with first point scored by Nate Dear.  Sam Gough played well all day and took a great mark in this quarter because ‘he got in front’.  The great marks continued with Matty Edwards and Lachy Morison.

Great Pressure by the Sharks

Go Max

Here goes Thomas

Ace on the chase

HALF TIME
The oranges must have been good this week cause there was a lot of orange eating happening.  Hunter had about 10 to keep him hydrated!

Of all the days to leave the warm woolly hat at home.......

(Big? Old?) Fitzy & Softy strategise the next plan of attack!

Third Quarter
David Pain playing his best game this year,  handballed to Matty, Angus and Max chased the ball down there was a great tap out to Angus then a big heap of players one on top of the other in front of the opposition goals. Fitzy on the bottom of the scrum!

Great run towards Callum Prior and a good chase for the ball by David Pain but again back to a centre bounce.
Nate took a great mark tried to do a bounce but ground too unpredictable.  Good couple of marks taken by Mitchell Morison and Max Heath. Nate took a brilliant mark with three opposition players around him and sent a huge kick to Ace. Max Heath kicked a point then Mitchell Morison kicked a point  (good try)
Fitzy and Matt spread out waiting for the ball to be kicked in, both watching the play and sticking to their players.  Fitzy continued with unselfish play shepherding his team mates.

More Matt Edwards class (must be the tongue)

Hands Up

Dan Hutton in form

David Pain...best game this season

RAIN ARRIVES  in time for the fourth quarter and we are all just a little wet, umbrellas up and parents freezing on the side lines.  (editors note: Softy still refusing to use his pretty pink umbrella, or any other umbrella for that matter)

Fourth Quarter

Lachy Leason received a handball from Callum Prior and got involved all day harassing and being there for the contest.
Fitzy and Clark chase down the ball then lo and behold,  Fitzy and Jacob smother it brilliant play. Lachy Leason and Tom Bray in opposition goals defending well.  Fitzy kicks to Jacob who goes for a great run and gives it to Mitch then on to Will, Lachy Morison then Clark.  Great running Lachy! Ace is on the ground scrambling for the ball and Clark grabs it and runs.

Lots of action, better running of the ball in the second half after Darin’s sprooking.

Hold your heads up high boys and congratulate Murrumbeena on a great game.
